A 'nom de plume' for one of our talented wordsmiths...

We are happy to officially announce Shopify as our partner!

Shopify as an eCommerce platform, is a complete ecommerce solution that allows retailers to set up an online store to sell their goods. It lets retailers organize their products, customize their storefront, accept credit card payments, track and respond to orders all with a few clicks of the mouse!

Shopify was founded in 2004 by Tobias Luke, Daniel Weinand, and Scott Lake after attempting to open an online store for snowboarding equipment, named Snowdevil. After Luke, a programmer by trade, could not find a product that matched their store’s needs, he decided to build one of his own.
After two months, he had a working online store and Snowdevil was launched. By 2006, the founders decided to share their code to help others sell items online. Luke created a template for online stores, in which clients would provide the pictures and products. Shopify was launched in June 2006. Luke summarized this by saying “what used to take months in 2004, can now be done in about 20 minutes.”

As 2014 kicks off, Balance Internet has teamed up with Shopify to provide holistic ecommerce solutions to our current and future retail clients. Shopify provides an affordable option for smaller to mid sized retailers.

We are very excited about our partnership with Shopify and look forward to building a shopify store in the upcoming months, said James Horne, Managing Director of Balance Internet.

“Shopify is thrilled to partner with Balance Internet as an ecommerce platform provider. Our robust API,  renowned customer support, and integration with in-house mobile and POS solutions make us a good fit with an agency as trusted as Balance Internet. We’re looking forward to working with Australian merchants to help them sell online, offline and everywhere their customers shop,” said Taylor Sicard, Partner Manager at Shopify.

Shopify share the excitement of James and the rest of the Balance Internet team. We can’t wait to work with them to deliver a better customer experience for our joint customers.
