About the role

We are looking for a Senior Magento 2 Front-End Developer with experience in Magento 2 SSR and PWAStudio frameworks.

This role will include hands-on software development, as well as components of mentoring of more junior developers.

To be successful in the role you’d need to be a talented frontender, with high proficiency in JS and, at least superficial knowledge and experience in Magento Backend. You’d need to be able to work in a team under the leadership of an experienced Technical Lead and ensure that the delivered solutions have outstanding quality and are aligned with the framework and company best practices.

Key responsibilities:

  • Analysis of project frontend requirements, breakdown of the work items and effort estimation.
  • Front-end code development (custom complex themes).
  • Software quality assurance (audits, code reviews, testing, etc).
  • Mentoring developers.
  • Contribution to and maintenance of the front-end development and testing standards.
  • Carries out technical interviews with the potential employees and provides feedback for the existing employees.

About you

  • 5+ years of experience in front-end development roles.
  • Extensive knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, SCSS / LESS.
  • Extensive knowledge of JavaScript, jQuery, Prototype, and AJAX.
  • 2+ years of working experience with Magento 2, deep understanding Magento architecture and best practices.
  • JavaScript Task Runners — Grunt.
  • Deep understanding of Magento Design Fallback System.
  • Knowledge of Magento Layout XML system, block-template design system
  • Responsive design techniques.
  • Working with wireframes and prototypes and collaboration with technical leads and architects in optimisation of the experiences.
  • 1+ year of experience of work in an Agile environment.
  • Experience in Docker-based development and deployments (desired).
  • Atlassian suite including JIRA / Confluence / Bitbucket.

Knowledge and experience with the following items are not essential, but are highly regarded:

  • Development of applications compliant with WCAG 2.1 standards and various levels (A+ or AA+).
