About the role

We are looking for Magento 2 Backend Developer to contribute to technical design and implementation of technology-focused eCommerce solutions.

The role involves participation in the technical design and development of the designed components working with the experienced Technical Lead, acting as a leader and a mentor.

To be successful in the role you’d need to have a good knowledge of modern development patterns, have experience in Magento 2, PHP and LAMP stack, have some level of knowledge and be keen to learn more about integration patterns and technologies, containerised deployments and other technologies and solutions used in complex enterprise-level builds.

You will be a part of a creative team that is responsible for all aspects of the ongoing software development from the initial specification, through to developing, testing and launching.

Key responsibilities:

  • Code development — Magento backend modules development or integration of Magento modules, custom artefacts within or outside of Magento framework.
  • Participation in the technical design of the software solutions under the leadership of the Technical Lead.
  • Code reviews.
  • Contributes to the corporate IT infrastructure in regards to the automation software and tools.

About you

  • 1+ years of Magento 2 experience.
  • 3+ years of experience in PHP development.
  • Knowledge of in MySQL.
  • Solid knowledge of modern OOP and integration patterns, modern practices (Dependency Injection, Facades, Separation of Concerns).
  • Diagramming and documentation leveraging UML.
  • 1+ year of experience of work in an Agile environment.
  • Atlassian suite including JIRA / Confluence / Bitbucket.

Knowledge and experience with the following items are not essential, but are highly regarded:

  • Experience in Docker-based development and deployments.
  • Experience in profiling and optimisation for code and databases.
  • Proficiency in Elasticsearch and caching layers of the platform.
  • AWS.
